School districts are mandated to locate, evaluate, and identify students who need special education and related services. If your child struggles in school, they may be eligible for an individual education plan (IEP). However, the school district must first evaluate them to determine if they meet the criteria for eligibility for an IEP before creating and implementing an IEP. The scope of the evaluation is to determine if they are eligible and what services and supports they need to receive a free appropriate public education.
You may use our online form to request that your child's school district evaluate them for eligibility. We also provide free consultations to advise on what evaluations may be needed. We also perform private education evaluations to assist you in discovering what are your child's educational needs.
