More Than 700 Manifestation Determination Reviews
School discipline can become especially complicated when a student has a disability.
Our team has participated in more than 700 Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) involving students facing suspension, expulsion, alternative placement, and other serious disciplinary consequences.
We understand that behavior is often more complicated than simply labeling a child as "defiant," "disruptive," or a "behavior problem."
When appropriate, we examine the child's disability, evaluations, IEP, behavioral needs, Functional Behavioral Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, services, accommodations, implementation of the IEP, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged conduct.
